SUMMARY:2018 National Rural & Small Town Mission Conference
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod will host its 2018 National Rural & Small Town Mission Conference on Nov. 8-10 in Kansas City\, Mo.\, at the Hilton Kansas City Airport Hotel.\n\nBuilding on the theme “Have No Fear\,” the conference will feature keynote speakers the Rev. Timothy Koch\, the Rev. Dr. Robert H. Bennett\, the Rev. Tom Schlund and Chaplain Craig Muehler.\n\nChoose from breakout topics such as disaster training\, youth ministry\, ministry to inactives\, family ministry outreach\, stewardship\, hope during grief\, opportunities with Recognized Service Organizations and many other topics affecting our rural and small-town congregations.\n\nView conference schedule     View conference booklet\nRegistration\nRegistration is closed. Please email the RSTM office or call 888-463-5127 with questions.\nHotel information\nThe Hilton Kansas City Airport Hotel is offering a negotiated nightly rate of $106 for single occupancy and $114 for double occupancy (plus applicable taxes). The rate includes one daily breakfast buffet per occupant\, complimentary self-parking and complimentary airport transportation.\n\nHotel reservations must be made with Hilton online\, or call 816-891-8900 and ask for the LCMS Rural & Small Town Mission Conference rate.\n\nMake hotel reservations\nAbout the conference\nThe LCMS 2018 National Rural & Small Town Mission Conference will address the blessings and challenges facing rural and small-town congregations today as well as encourage those congregations and their leaders in cultivating healthy churches that are eager to bear witness to Christ\, show mercy to those in need in their communities and develop a robust life together with their fellow members.\n\nThis conference is geared for anyone from a rural and small-town setting. While there is no “one size fits all” solution\, participants will be encouraged as they see new opportunities for engaging their communities and are filled with hope for the future. Fellowship with others who have also been placed in this unique mission field will be invaluable\, too.\n\nInvitation & speakers\n\nOrder merchandise\n\nBulletin insert (Color)\n\nBulletin insert (B&W)\nNew for 2018: Continuing Education Unit credits available\nConference attendees are eligible to receive 1.5 Continuing Education Unit credits from Concordia Theological Seminary\, Fort Wayne\, Ind.\n\nTo receive credits\, individuals must complete at least 15 session/Bible study hours at the conference and return an application form along with a $10 processing fee to Concordia Theological Seminary.
