SUMMARY:FORO — Dominican Republic
DESCRIPTION:LCMS International Mission will host a FORO about mission work in the Dominican Republic on March 4-7\, 2027. \nWhat is a FORO?\nA FORO — Spanish for “forum” — fosters relationships between missionaries serving on behalf of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) and mission partners. The meetings facilitate networking\, start conversations\, and focus resources to make disciples of all nations for generations to come. \nWhen do FOROs occur?\nOnce or twice a year\, LCMS missionaries meet with partners — people from churches\, organizations\, schools\, and partner churches — in their mission field. They discuss strategies to make disciples\, address community needs\, emphasize mutual listening\, and encourage shared decision-making. \nWhy are FOROs needed?\nMissionaries don’t only need funding and volunteers. Missionaries need relationships. They need support networks. They need people to walk with them\, pray with them\, listen to them\, learn from them\, and stand with them. SUMMARY:YouthLead Training — March 2027
DESCRIPTION:LCMS Youth Ministry will host 2 YouthLead Training events for teens from Saturday\, March 13 to Tuesday\, March 16\, 2027\, or Saturday\, April 24 to Tuesday\, April 27\, 2027\, in St. Louis. \nYouthLead equips teens to develop and use their leadership skills as they serve Christ within their congregations and communities. \nThis year’s curriculum focus will be on apologetics\, including how to understand and share Scripture and the resurrection of Jesus. Along with learning to teach this curriculum\, we will lead youth in leadership skill development and building relationships with other young leaders. \nRegistration will open October 2026\nRegistration for both dates are scheduled to open in October 2026.
