SUMMARY:FORO — Eritrea
DESCRIPTION:LCMS International Mission will host a FORO about mission work in Eritrea on April 7-10\, 2026\, in Nairobi\, Kenya. The gathering includes the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Eritrea. \nWhat is a FORO?\nA FORO — Spanish for “forum” — fosters relationships between missionaries serving on behalf of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) and mission partners. The meetings facilitate networking\, start conversations and focus resources to make disciples of all nations for generations to come. \nWhen do FOROs occur?\nOnce or twice a year\, LCMS missionaries meet with partners — people from churches\, organizations\, schools and partner churches — in their mission field. They discuss strategies to make disciples and address community needs\, emphasizing mutual listening and shared decision-making. \nWhy are FOROs needed?\nMissionaries don’t only need funding and volunteers. Missionaries need relationships. They need support networks. They need people to walk with them\, pray with them\, listen to them\, learn from them and stand with them. FOROs help provide those relationships. \nTo learn more about FOROs\, visit international.lcms.org/foro. \n\nContact\nRev. SUMMARY:FORO: Puerto Rico
DESCRIPTION:The FORO concept is simple and its impact is powerful. The word itself is Spanish for “forum.” LCMS International Mission uses FOROs to facilitate networking\, start conversations\, and focus our resources to make disciples of all nations for generations to come. Missionaries don’t only need funding and volunteers. They need relationships. They need support networks. They need people like you to walk with them\, pray with them\, listen to them\, learn from them and stand with them. FOROs help provide that relationship. \nTwice a year\, missionaries gather with partners — people from churches\, organizations schools. They sit down together\, and they talk. They talk about making disciples\, planting Lutheran churches and about mission work. They talk about what’s happening on the ground. About the needs of the people they serve. About what’s working — and what’s not. The missionaries speak\, and the partners listen. Then\, everyone has a chance to respond. \nContact \n\ncard@lcmsintl.org

SUMMARY:YouthLead Training
DESCRIPTION:LCMS Youth Ministry will host a YouthLead Training event Saturday afternoon\, March 8\, to noon Tuesday\, March 11\, 2025\, at the Pallotine Renewal Center in the St. Louis suburb of Florissant. \nWho can attend Youthlead?\nAny high school youth who is an active member of an LCMS congregation and desires to be a leader along with adults who desire to mentor young leaders. \nIt is preferred that teens attend with an adult leader from their congregation\, although arrangements can be made for teens to come unaccompanied. \nHow much does it cost?\nRegistration is $375 per attendee\, which covers food and housing during the training\, transportation to and from the airport if needed\, supplies and a T-shirt. Attendees are responsible for their transportation to and from St. Louis. \nWe encourage you to contact your district before you register as some districts have support for those attending this training. \nWhat happens at a YouthLead Training event?\nYouth are equipped for leadership in two key ways. First\, we engage them in studying God’s Word through a Bible study they experience and are trained to lead back home. Second\, we focus on their unique identity and vocations as well as practical leadership skills that will benefit them in all aspects of servant leadership. \nThis annual training event is led by our teen Executive Team and gives fellow teens the tools they need to mature in their faith\, become leaders in their congregations\, and reach out to their peers with the love of Christ. \nThis year’s curriculum will focus on caring for those struggling or in crisis. Our leadership training will develop an attendee’s skill set\, including how to communicate as a church leader. \nIf you have questions about the event\, email LCMS Youth Ministry at youth.ministry@lcms.org. \nDownload flyer \nRegister \n\nLCMS Youth Ministry\n\nlcms.org/youth\n\n\nyouth.ministry@lcms.org\n\n\n888-843-5267\n\n\nfacebook.com/LCMSyouth\n\n\nfacebook.com/lcmsgathering\n\n\ntwitter.com/LCMSyouth

SUMMARY:Stewardship Philippians Conference - Milwaukee and online
DESCRIPTION:The South Wisconsin District (SWD) of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS)\, in partnership with LCMS Stewardship Ministry\, will host a hybrid Philippians Conference on April 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Milwaukee. \nThe conference\, which will be held at the SWD office and available to watch online\, will be facilitated by the Rev. Dr. Nathan Meador\, SWD mission executive and LCMS National Mission stewardship specialist. \nWhat is a Philippians Conference?\nThe workshop is based on St. Paul’s words in Philippians 1\, where we see how the leadership of the congregation is working together in the realm of stewardship. \nThe Philippians Conference gathers pastors and lay leaders to spend a day together looking at the theology and practice of stewardship\, grounding congregational stewardship on the solid foundation of Scripture and the Confessions. The conference will also help local congregations to assess\, strengthen and even change their local stewardship culture. \nAttendees will get a fresh perspective on stewardship and leave the event with one or two action items to put into practice immediately at their congregation. \nWho should attend?\nPastors\, elders\, other elected leaders and other members of the congregation are all invited to attend. \nHow can I participate?\nLocal congregation groups are encouraged to join us in person at the SWD office in Milwaukee. In-person registration is limited to only 100 attendees. \nSince in-person registration is limited\, congregations are also invited to host an online “watch party.” This would mean that your pastor(s)\, congregational leaders and members would gather at your church to participate as a group via Zoom. There will be an online moderator to ensure the presenter addresses your questions. \nHow much does this cost?\nThere is no cost to participate in this event. \nHow do I register?\nBoth in-person and online seats are limited\, so register today at swd.lcms.org/hybrid. If you intend to join us in person\, please be ready to register your complete list of attendees. The registration form closes on April 15. \nOther questions?\nAll questions may be directed to the Rev. Nathan Meador at meador@swd.lcms.org or call 414-464-8101.

SUMMARY:'YouthLead' Training for Teens
DESCRIPTION:YouthLead equips teens to develop and use their leadership skills as they serve Christ within their congregations and communities. LCMS Youth Ministry will host our 2024 YouthLead Training from Feb. 29 to March 3 in St. Louis. \nOur focus will be Christian identity\, who God has made us to be\, and who we are to each other. Along with the new curriculum\, we will be working through leadership development programming as well. \nThere are a limited number of spaces in the training. Once those spots are filled\, we will gladly take participants on a waiting list. \nWho can attend Youthlead?\nAny high school youth who is an active member of an LCMS congregation and desires to be a leader can join us along with adults who desire to mentor young leaders. \nWe prefer teens attend with an adult leader from their congregation. Arrangements can be made for them to come unaccompanied. \nHow much does it cost?\nRegistration for youth and adults is $375. This covers your food and housing during the training\, transportation to and from the airport if needed\, supplies\, and a shirt. You will also need to cover your transportation to and from St. Louis. \nWe encourage you to contact your district before you register as some districts have support for those attending this training. \nWhat happens at a Youthlead training?\nYouth are equipped for leadership in two key ways. First\, we engage them in studying God’s Word through a Bible study they experience and are trained to lead back home. \nSecond\, we focus on their unique identity and vocations as well as practical leadership skills that will benefit them in all aspects of servant leadership. \n  \nRegister for the training \n  \n\nLCMS Youth Ministry\n  \n\nlcms.org/youth\n\n\nyouth.ministry@lcms.org\n\n\n888-843-5267\n\n\nfacebook.com/LCMSyouth\n\n\nfacebook.com/lcmsgathering\n\n\ntwitter.com/LCMSyouth
