DESCRIPTION:LCMS International Mission will host a FORO about mission work in Chile on Nov. 13-14\, 2025. \nWhat is a FORO?\nA FORO — Spanish for “forum” — fosters relationships between missionaries serving on behalf of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) and mission partners. The meetings facilitate networking\, start conversations\, and focus resources to make disciples of all nations for generations to come. \nWhen do FOROs occur?\nOnce or twice a year\, LCMS missionaries meet with partners — people from churches\, organizations\, schools\, and partner churches — in their mission field. They discuss strategies to make disciples\, address community needs\, emphasize mutual listening\, and encourage shared decision-making. \nWhy are FOROs needed?\nMissionaries don’t only need funding and volunteers. Missionaries need relationships. They need support networks. They need people to walk with them\, pray with them\, listen to them\, learn from them\, and stand with them. SUMMARY:Spring 2024 Missionary Kid Program Team — Africa
DESCRIPTION:Missionaries of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod who are serving our Lord in Africa will gather with their families for a time of continuing education from March 20-24\, 2024. \nWhile the adults have a program of scheduled studies\, volunteers are needed to join a short-term mission team to prepare and lead the children’s program for the missionary kids\, ranging in age from toddlers to teens. \nThe program can be modeled after a kids camp\, Vacation Bible School or other types of active learning. We will provide the curriculum for team members to use as a framework. \nThe missionary gathering incorporates worship\, rest and fellowship.
