Michigan District Convention

The Michigan District Convention – held every three years – offers opportunities to celebrate God’s work and His presence in each other, build a sense of fellowship and partnership in the Body of Christ, challenge and inspire us for greater service, conduct official business, give direction, and provide for future mission and ministry. The 2015 convention theme, “Imagine Living as God’s … Loved and Compassionate Community,” is based on Ephesians 3:20-21.

National Lutheran Youth Workers Conference

National Lutheran Youth Workers Conference (NATIONAL) brings together youth workers from across the country to be encouraged in their vocation and further equipped in their service to the Church. Participants dialogue about practical skills and relevant theory for effective youth ministry while networking with other volunteer and professional youth leaders.

Fifth National Hispanic Convention – Tampa, Fla.

The Fifth National Hispanic Convention is scheduled for July 28-31, 2015, in Tampa, Fla., and it provides LCMS Hispanic church workers with an opportunity to be supportive of each other’s families and ministries through worship, study, fellowship and a time to celebrate (“fiesta”) God’s abundant gifts.

Council of Presidents: Grace Place Retreat

The President, vice-presidents, and district presidents of the Synod comprise the 42-member Council of Presidents, which meets four times each year to provide opportunity for mutual counsel regarding the doctrine and administration of the Synod and to edify and support one another in the work that they share, those responsibilities found throughout the Constitution and Bylaws of the Synod.
