Join Discovery Institute’s Wesley Smith in life and death conversation

March 10, 2015 | 9:00 am - 10:00 am

Free

I have been in the trenches of fighting against assisted suicide, health-care rationing, radical animal rights, anti-human environmentalism, etc., ad nauseam, for more than 20 years,” notes Wesley Smith. “About five years ago, it hit me like a punch: We can no longer debate these issues. Why? True debate requires a common frame of reference, but we have none.”

That void motivates Smith, a lawyer and award-winning author, to speak even more passionately on behalf of human life and dignity. As a senior fellow at the Discovery Institute’s Center on Human Exceptionalism, Smith is one of the nation’s premier expert thinkers in bioengineering; a frequent guest on Issues, Etc.; and was one of the leading voices in speaking against the media frenzy regarding Brittany Maynard’s death. Smith is also ready to take your questions in an upcoming “Free to be Faithful” webinar, to be held at 9 a.m. (CST) March 10, when he will discuss assisted suicide and the value of human life with participants.

To register for the free webinar, call 888-THE LCMS (888-843-5267). Spaces for live participation in the call and webinar are limited, so please register now to join Smith and your fellow Lutherans in a frank conversation about life and death and how you can speak to the importance of a proper understanding of both.

Can’t make it? A recorded version will be made available online shortly after the call at lcms.org/freetobefaithful.
