LERT training event in Colorado Springs, Colo.

LCMS Disaster Response will host a Lutheran Early Response Team (LERT) training event from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17, in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Attendees will learn how congregations and even individual members can be better prepared to show Christ’s love to the community when a disaster strikes.
Training will be offered in these areas:
- Disaster response and Christian care
- Congregational preparedness
- Engaging in community response
- The LERT program
- Volunteer safety and equipment
Attendees will also receive an LCMS Disaster Response credential to show credibility when entering disaster zones in a coordinated and collaborative effort to assist those in need.
