Prayer Service for Life – LCMS International Center and online
November 30 | 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod will hold a Prayer Service for Life at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021, at the LCMS International Center in St. Louis and via livestream on Facebook.
Those who value the preservation of life at all its stages, from conception to natural death, are invited to take part by attending in person, watching via livestream or holding their own prayer service locally. In partnership with Concordia Publishing House, the worship bulletin is available for individual and congregational use.
Following the service, a free meal will be offered in the International Center cafeteria. In order to abide by capacity limits and to prepare enough food, registration is necessary for the service and meal.
The registration deadline is Nov. 24. Click “Respond” on the event page to make a reservation.
Even amidst a world and culture opposed to the preservation of life, Christians thank and praise our God for the precious gift of life. He gives life freely and abundantly to all mankind as our Creator. Christ Jesus gave His life freely as a ransom for us that we may have life eternally. The Holy Spirit strengthens us that we may continually preserve life, the life of the unborn, the aged and the vulnerable. Because we have been given the gift of life, we seek to live according to the great love and mercy given to us by God.
We lament the tragedy of abortion and we mourn the many lives lost. We pray for the preservation of life. We pray that those who make, govern and judge our laws would do so according to the will of God. We pray that hearts may be turned towards Christ and that we may learn to see all people as through His eyes.
