Service of Installation for president, officers, boards

Please join us for a Service of Installation for President Rev. Dr. Matthew C. Harrison and the vice-presidents, officers, and board and commission members of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in St. Louis.

Our worship will follow the prayer office of Matins. This event is open to the public.

A brief lunch reception will be held at Concordia Publishing House (CPH) immediately following the service. Complimentary parking is available at CPH parking lot located one block east of Jefferson Avenue on Miami Street.

Historical walking tours offered

Those attending the installation service are invited to take a 20-minute tour of Lutheran historical sites within walking distance of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Two tours will be given by the Rev. Dr. Daniel Harmelink, executive director of Concordia Historical Institute. The walks will begin at the corner of Texas and Miami at 9 a.m. and at 11:30 a.m.

Tours will include presentations on:

• The Concordia Seminary and Seminary Annex,
• Walther’s House,
• Louis Lange Publishing Company,
• Concordia Publishing Company, and
• Holy Cross Church and School.
