The Reformation at 500: An Interdenominational Conversation

October 30, 2017 | 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

LCMS President Rev. Dr. Matthew Harrison will join the Archbishop of Chicago and the president of Wheaton College for “The Reformation at 500: An Interdenominational Conversation,” which is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, at Concordia University Chicago.

Tickets are sold out, but the event will be broadcast live on CUChicago.edu/live.

Harrison, Cardinal Blase J. Cupich and Rev. Dr. Philip Ryken will have an unprecedented dialogue on the eve of the 500th anniversary of the Lutheran Reformation. The event will be in the Chapel of Our Lord on the CU Chicago campus in River Forest, Ill.

The scholars will examine the historic and theological divisions emerging from the Reformation, and they will discuss shared concerns and common causes among today’s Christian churches.

Manya Brachear Pashman, a religion correspondent for the Chicago Tribune, will moderate the discussion.
