2019 LCMS National Disaster Response Conference

The 2019 LCMS National Disaster Response Conference — “Joy:fully Lutheran in Midst of Disaster” — will be held from 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, to 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis.
Attendees will hear practical ways to love and serve people whose lives have been ripped apart by catastrophe.
Pastors, disaster coordinators and others who have experienced and responded to significant disasters in the past year will share best practices concerning mercy in the Church.
Spouses are invited to attend, and registration is $50 per person.
Attendees are responsible for their own lodging accommodations.
The Hilton St. Louis Airport Hotel is offering conference attendees a discounted room rate of $74, based on availability.

Free chainsaw training
After the conference, a free chainsaw training event will be held off-campus at 6 p.m. Friday, and training continues on Saturday morning. Rev. Ed Brashier of Shepherd’s Heart Ministry will lead the training, which is limited to 20 registrants.
