The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod will host a Prison/Jail Ministry Conference on Friday, Aug. 17, and Saturday, Aug. 18, at the Hilton St. Louis Airport Hotel.

The conference theme is “Captive Souls … Mercy for All,” based on Rom. 11:32: “For God has consigned all to disobedience, that he may have mercy on all.”

  • the Rev. Dr. Leopoldo Sánchez and the Rev. Dr. John Loum, professors at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis; and
  • the Rev. Russell Helbig and Michael Raha, who will discuss dealing with sex offenders.

On Saturday, attendees will break into small groups for workshops in three areas — beginners, district prison ministry coordinators and for training in continuing-education topics.
