LCMS Specialized Pastoral Ministry Conference – 2023

The 2023 Specialized Pastoral Ministry (SPM) Conference will be held Feb. 28–March 1, in St. Louis and online. The conference will begin at 4 p.m. on Feb. 28 and conclude at 5 p.m. on March 1.
Those currently serving in SPM contexts and those interested in learning more about this ministry are welcome to attend, either in-person or online.
The conference will include presentations on a variety of topics related to SPM, opportunities to share experiences and insights, and the announcement of some exciting updates about the future of SPM.
Featured presenters include:
- The Rev. Dr. Matthew C. Harrison, LCMS president;
- Deaconess Dr. Tiffany Manor, interim managing director, Office of National Mission Human Care and Ministerial Support;
- The Rev. Brian R. Heller, manager of LCMS Specialized Pastoral Ministry; and
- The Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Gibbs, professor emeritus at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis.
The in-person portion of the conference, which will be held at the LCMS International Center in St. Louis, is limited to 100 participants. Registration, which is $50 per individual, includes meals and snacks. Attendees will also have access to view recorded sessions for 60 days after the conference ends.
The deadline for in-person registration is Feb. 17.
Online participation is unlimited. An online registration, which is $25, can be used by an individual, couple, family or group. Registration provides access to view recorded sessions for 60 days after the conference ends.
Participants attending virtually can register until Feb. 28.
