‘Making Disciples for Life’ Fall 2021 Conference
October 11 - October 13
What does it take to be a faithful church amid a turbulent culture? This is the central question that will be discussed at the Making Disciples for Life (MDFL) fall conference, set for Oct. 11–13, 2021. The conference, which will be held in St. Louis and online, will have the theme of “The Rock in Shifting Sands.”
The conference will feature three tracks focusing on:
- Church and state, Christian citizenship, religious liberty
- Critical theory, its manifestations and how the church should respond
- Discipleship, Christian education, lifelong catechesis
The conference’s plenary sessions, break-out sessions, roundtable discussions, focus groups and LCMS Office of National Mission exhibits will be offered in a mix of virtual and in-person formats to accommodate as many attendees as possible. Those who participate in the focus groups will help identify needs and set the agenda for the next MDFL conference.
More information will be available soon.
Are you interested in sharing your expertise in one of the three tracks listed above with your fellow Lutherans? Presentation proposals will be accepted until Aug. 15 for plenary sessions, breakout sessions and roundtable discussions.
