‘Making Disciples for Life’ Conference

January 10, 2022 - January 12, 2022

In anticipation of an increase in restrictions due to COVID-19, and out of concern for our brothers and sisters in Christ, we have reluctantly decided to postpone the Making Disciples for Life (MDFL) Fall Conference scheduled for Oct. 11–13, 2021 in St. Louis.

The conference has been rescheduled for Jan. 10–12, 2022, in St. Louis and online with the same theme, “The Rock in Shifting Sands.”

Please check this webpage for more information regarding this rescheduled event. We anticipate registration opening in November and hope that you’ll join us.

Event details

What does it take to be a faithful church amid a turbulent culture? This is the central question that will be discussed.

The conference will feature three tracks focusing on:

  • Church and state, Christian citizenship, religious liberty
  • Critical theory, its manifestations and how the church should respond
  • Discipleship, Christian education, lifelong catechesis

The conference’s plenary sessions, break-out sessions, roundtable discussions, focus groups and LCMS Office of National Mission exhibits will be offered in a mix of virtual and in-person formats to accommodate as many attendees as possible. Those who participate in the focus groups will help identify needs and set the agenda for the next MDFL conference.

Please check this webpage for more information regarding this rescheduled event.
