The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod celebrates its birthday on April 26. Initial members, which included 12 pastors representing 14 congregations from Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Michigan, New York and Ohio, signed the church body’s constitution on April 26, 1847, at First Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Chicago, Ill.
Rev. Joel Fritsche will outline the fundamental role that meeting people where they are plays in church planting. He’ll share how “pounding the pavement” figures into the formation of well-rounded church workers and is a key to effective evangelism no matter the context.
The 2021 LCMS Wyoming District Convention is scheduled for Sunday, May 6, to Tuesday, May 8, in Casper, Wyo., at the Ramkota Hotel and Conference Center.
